Dream Library ("Dream Library," "we," "us," or "our") is a sleep-audio wellness app that lets you choose a "dream" theme before bed and plays a narration and soundscape sequence timed to your pre-sleep and REM windows, intended to increase the chance of dreaming that content. Dream Library is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. See our separate Health Disclaimer for details.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Dream Library mobile app (bundle ID com.soyoz.dreamade) and any related services.
By using Dream Library, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, used for account creation, login, and account-related communication. You may sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google OAuth (processed via Supabase Auth); in that case we receive the email address and account identifier associated with your chosen sign-in method.
To run priming and sleep sequences and to show you your own progress, we collect and store, tied to your account:
This data is stored server-side (Supabase/Postgres) and is used to compute your personal incubation success-rate statistics over time.
While a sleep session is active, Dream Library uses your device's accelerometer and microphone to detect:
This processing happens entirely on your device. Dream Library does not record, store, or upload raw audio or raw motion data at any time. Only short-lived derived signals (e.g., a "stillness" or "breathing regularity" indicator) are used in the moment to decide when to play or stop audio, and these derived signals are discarded once the session ends. No microphone recording and no motion data stream ever leaves your device or reaches our servers.
If you choose to write dream journal entries, that free-text content is stored tied to your account so you can revisit it later. You can delete individual journal entries at any time; see Section 8, Data Deletion.
Subscription and purchase status is managed through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management processor. RevenueCat receives App Store/Google Play receipt data to validate your purchases and determine your entitlements (e.g., which subscription tier you have). Dream Library does not directly collect or process your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google as your payment processor.
Dream Library shows ads via Google AdMob only on the Morning Check-in (post-check-in) screen and the Dream Library screen. Ads are never shown during Priming, Sleep Mode, or REM playback.
See Section 4 for more on how AdMob data is shared.
Dream Library does not collect or store: raw microphone audio, raw accelerometer data streams, precise (GPS) location, your contacts, or your photos.
We use the data described above to:
We do not use your sleep-session, journal, or on-device signal data to build advertising profiles.
We work with the following third-party service providers, each of which processes data on our behalf under its own privacy and security terms:
| Provider | Purpose | Data Involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, and storage | Email address, account identifiers, sleep-session data, check-in responses, journal entries |
| RevenueCat | Subscription and purchase validation | App Store/Google Play receipt data, entitlement status |
| Google AdMob | Advertising | Advertising identifier, ad interaction data (subject to ATT/consent gating described in Section 2.6) |
| Apple / Google | Payment processing for in-app purchases and subscriptions | Payment and billing information (collected and processed directly by Apple/Google, not by Dream Library) |
Each of these providers may process data outside of your country of residence. We select providers that maintain appropriate data protection safeguards.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not exchange it for money or other valuable consideration with third parties.
We share limited data with the third-party processors listed in Section 4 solely so they can perform the services described above (e.g., authenticating you, validating a purchase, or serving an ad you've consented to see). Where advertising identifiers are shared with AdMob, this is a data-sharing relationship for ad delivery, made under your applicable consent (ATT on iOS, ad-ID controls on Android) — it is not a sale of your personal information.
We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dream Library, our users, or others.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). These rights may include the right to:
Our legal bases for processing personal data include: performance of a contract (account, sleep-session, and journal data needed to provide the app), consent (advertising personalization, ATT), and legitimate interest (e.g., app security and abuse prevention), as applicable under GDPR.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@locuz.co. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
We retain your account, sleep-session, check-in, and journal data for as long as your account remains active, so that we can provide the app's features (including your ongoing incubation success-rate statistics). If you delete your account, we delete this data as described in Section 8. On-device motion and microphone signals are never stored beyond the active session and are discarded immediately after use.
You can delete your account and associated data directly in the app:
Settings → Account → Delete Account
Deleting your account deletes your account record, dream journal entries, check-in/session history, and the linkage between your account and your purchase records from our systems. Subscription and transaction records may continue to be retained by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat in accordance with their own retention policies — Dream Library does not control or have the ability to delete records held directly by those parties.
You may also contact us at hello@locuz.co to request deletion.
Dream Library's general app content is rated for users aged 13 and older in the United States. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. In the EU/UK and other regions, the applicable regional minimum age of consent for data processing (which may be higher than 13 — for example, 16 in parts of the EU) applies where required by local law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data in violation of this policy, please contact us at hello@locuz.co so we can take appropriate action.
The Thrill category (horror-toned, 18+) additionally requires self-reported age confirmation within the app and is blocked for users who indicate they are under 18.
Dream Library and the third-party processors we use may store and process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms, to protect your data.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects when it was last revised. Your continued use of Dream Library after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
